Bert’s on Thursday: Josh Driver

Josh Driver slid into the Taphouse at Bert Driver’s Burlap Room with The Full Circle Band- Dave Armstrong on a mellow-sounding Strat, and Gene Ingram on percussion made the afternoon run from Chattanooga for an appearance at Bert’s on Thursday Winter Series on 2/10/22.

The Burlappers have been eagerly awaiting Josh’s return performance, and provided enthusiastic response throughout the evening, even applauding his opening line, “Hello, I’m Josh Driver.” I’m surprised Josh doesn’t own a big ole mansion on Music Row, with the talent he possesses  to reach way down in his “old spirit” and dredge up authentic, down home Tennessee country roots to create fresh-sounding songs that seem to me to be “timeless” in their imagery and come alive through Josh’s excellent live presentation of “the truth and other observations” from his unique perspective.

“By God, here it is!”  is my term to describe Josh Driver’s real-deal, “No BS”  style, and I like it! (along with all the other Burlappers).....My unsolicited music-biz advice  is sometimes cold comfort to a young singer/songwriter, but in Josh Driver’s case, this is indeed appropriate–”Keep on writing, Josh,  you already have a great start on a catalog of great material!”

If you want to know more about Josh Driver, check out his opening song “Who I Am” on Youtube...pretty much sez it all. (with a valid life lesson to boot)

2/1/22 also marked the debut of Burning Acres Luxury Edibles, now on sale in the Taphouse!

We welcome Burning Acres as a 2022 Series Sponsor for Bert Driver’s Burlap Room Summer/Fall Series, along with Center Hill Realty and Chalets and Hurricane Marina (Suntex).

The next episode of Bert’s on Thursday will be Parker Gisbert, founder member of Atlanta band The Whigs-  Parker has been living on Center Hill Lake for a few years and will make a return visit to The Burlap Room  on 2/24/22!

Check out the upcoming 2022 live music at Bert Driver’s Burlap Room, and info on the much-anticipated Harvester Event Center in downtown Smithville @ Bertdriver.com.

Cheers!
