Comedy Night at the Harvester witH Amber Autry

06.23.2022 - More fun than the proverbial barrel of monkeys, the inaugural Comedy Night at the Harvester Performance and Event Center did not disappoint audience members for the “test version” of live comedy performances at the Harvester Center. We were lucky to secure the assistance of a Nashville-based, national touring headliner comedienne Amber Autry, who brought her friends in comedy,  Matt Taylor and fellow comedienne/MC Ritu Tirthani.  This group of young, hip, FUNNY professionals quickly alleviated any worries anyone might have voiced when we were first considering comedy acts for the Harvester - based on the resounding success of our first Comedy Night, we are once again proud to be the venue that was “the first” to branch out to a new, exciting idiom, and we will definitely be planning more comedy-based events in the future…so thank you Amber, Matt, and Ritu for being such an integral part of launching Comedy Night in Downtown Smithville, TN!

Many thanks to our amigos, Tio’s Taco Truck, who were serving up their “serious” Mexican cuisine, which was a perfect fit for an otherwise “non-serious” fun evening at the Harvester Center. Part of the philosophy behind the Harvester Center is the diversity of live performances that the venue can accommodate, whether it’s live music concerts, private parties, weddings, traditional arts and crafts shows, live theater, or industry-specific shows (garden, boating, etc.).

The next chance to enjoy live entertainment at the Harvester Event Center will be the first Jambo Eve with Josh Driver and the Full Circle Band, on Thursday, June 30.  Also, the Harvester Event Center will be open to provide true Jamboree VIP Weekend amenities to our visitors during the Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree on Friday, July 1st and Saturday, July 2nd. Plan now to spend your entire weekend with us at the Harvester Performance and Event Center, starting with Jambo Eve Concert on Thursday Night, straight through the Championship Fiddle-Off (that historically runs late) on Saturday night, July 2, 2022. Reserved attendant parking at the Harvester Center is also available on a first-come, first serve basis on Friday and Saturday, July 1st and 2nd. No one under (13) years of age, Anyone under (18) years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Keep your calendar open for mid-July back at the Burlap Room, Saturday, July 16, to attend the Southern Rock Jam with Joe Harvey Band, followed by Outlaw Country Review with Cody Purvis and Friends on August 6, and Middle of Somewhere Hemp Fest IV with Magnolia Boulevard on August 20! Stay up-to-date with all the events in the Bert Driver Network (Nursery, Burlap Room, and the newly-opened Harvester Event Center) by signing up for our Burlapper Newsletter. All tickets for all Burlap Room and Harvester Event Center can be purchased at burlaproom.eventbrite.com. See y’all here!
